About the Repository
The Reindustrialize Repository is a public, searchable index of research on American reindustrialization, built by the Institute for American Manufacturing and Technology.
What it indexes
The Repository covers research on American manufacturing, energy, semiconductors, supply chains, workforce, and industrial policy. Its defining feature is breadth of publisher type. Current publisher categories are journals, preprint servers, federal agencies, national laboratories, universities, think tanks, trade associations, congressional sources, nonprofit institutes, and industry. Alongside journal literature it indexes the gray literature that general academic search engines systematically miss: think tank reports, national laboratory technical reports, congressional testimony, trade association studies, and corporate white papers.
The scope boundary is the American industrial base. A work qualifies through United States affiliated authorship, United States focused subject matter, or direct relevance to American industrial capacity.
How inclusion works
Records reach the Repository through curated selection, structured sources such as OpenAlex and OSTI, institutional feeds, and direct submission. Everything passes through a review queue before it is published, and every published record has been reviewed by a person. Automated scoring helps triage what enters that queue; it never publishes anything on its own.
Inclusion is curation, not endorsement. Listing a study here is not a judgment that its findings are correct, and the Repository does not conduct peer review. Every record traces to a verified source link.
Rights and full text
Cataloging is not republication. Every record carries metadata, an abstract where one is available, and a link to the publisher. That is the default posture for everything in the Repository.
Full text is hosted here only where the rights are clear and have been confirmed by a person, which in practice means public domain works such as United States federal government publications, works under an open license, and works where a publisher has given explicit permission. Every record states plainly whether its full text is available here or only from the publisher. Paywalled and proprietary works are indexed and linked, never mirrored.
The Repository links to and describes published work rather than republishing it, except where rights are evidenced and confirmed.
Publishers and rights holders may contact the Institute regarding any record. Removal and correction requests are reviewed promptly, and the Institute acknowledges each request within five business days. That acknowledgment is a commitment to respond, not a commitment to a particular outcome: the Institute reviews the circumstances of each request, including the rights asserted and the basis on which the record was indexed, before deciding what action to take.
Relationship to IAMT analysis
The Repository catalogs research produced by others. IAMT's own analysis is published separately through its Strategic Intelligence work. The two share a common taxonomy of industrial systems, so a system in the Repository refers to the same system across IAMT products.
